Latest Events:

Exhibition at Nut Point Centre: I’ll be exhibiting my latest linocuts, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “Puawhananga, Native Clematis” linocut along with my “Under the Shelterbelts” collection of mini-prints at Nut Point Centre on 4th and 5th Feb, along with the work of 13 other wonderful artists. I’d love to see you at the opening event.

Upcoming workshops: We live in a stunning landscape. Through our generous Selwyn libraries, I’ll be introducing people to three flexible approaches to landscape sketching. This workshop will be held three times – once at Leeston Library, once at Darfield Library and once outdoors at Castle Hill. This link takes you to the libraries’ programme page. You’ll then need to search “landscape” (not in the website search bar at the top of the page, but in the events search bar part way down the page)

Drop-In Printmaking: Te Huanui Gallery in Darfield will be showing the national touring exhibition “Small Print” over February. As part of that, they will be holding a drop-in session on Sun 12 Feb where you or your kids can try printmaking. Myself and two other accomplished Selwyn printmakers, Asako Ridgen and Margaret White, will be providing three different hands-on activities for you to try.

For sale

Editions of my work often sell out before they are completed. However, I still have some pieces available to purchase

My key focus is ensuring people can achieve something satisfying and stimulating within a lesson, and that they feel relaxed and encouraged to simply have a go. I regularly hold printmaking workshops for adults and children at all levels, and have hosted art classes in my studio, at the local libraries, for community groups, at the Methven Summer School, and even for a fun hen’s party! All levels are welcome, and no drawing ability is required.

Honestly the best 2 hours I have spent creating art ever” L. Tanner
